Celebrating “Read Across America”

Throughout his career, artist George Rodrigue was the subject of many books that explored his artwork. But perhaps the most beloved of the publications featuring Rodrigue’s art are his two children’s books: “Why Is Blue Dog Blue?” and “Are You Blue Dog’s Friend?”

Today, Executive Director Jacques Rodrigue shared these two cherished books with students at Bissonet Plaza Elementary in Metairie, Louisiana, in honor of Read Across America.
